Rhonda Wakai, PT

Physical Therapist

Rhonda is originally from North Carolina where she attended and graduated from East Carolina University in 1986. After practicing physical therapy in North Carolina for three years, she and her husband/fellow PT, Mark, became traveling physical therapists. Their travels took them all across the country and exposed them to a wide variety of patient populations and cultures. It was through these travels that they landed in Billings, Montana in 1992. They stayed there for 16 years under the employment of St. Vincent Healthcare. Mark moved on to management, but Rhonda has remained a practicing physical therapist. Her 16 years at St. Vincent provided her with a great experience in rehabilitating sports injuries, work-related injuries, general musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, as well as neurological conditions. She specialized for many years in rehabilitating patients in the aquatic environment, then expanded her scope to include performing ergonomic evaluations in a variety of work settings and performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. As a Peak Performance Physical Therapist, she has grown her skills to enable rehabilitation of patients who have sustained a concussion. At this point in her career, she continues to see herself as an eclectic practitioner with a passion for manual therapy to bring healing to tissues to enable return to unrestricted movement. Her specialty is the evaluation and treatment of sacroiliac dysfunction.
